Selina Chow
Honoree
For nearly two decades, Selina Chow has been a catalyst to BCNC’s growth as a holistic, family-centered agency supporting predominantly Asian immigrants in the Greater Boston area. Having served on the BCNC Board of Directors for 18 years; nine years of which she was Board President from 2007 to 2016, Selina’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping the organization’s accomplishments. This includes BCNC’s expansion to a second facility in Quincy and the physical build out and operational launch of Pao Arts Center. She holds a B.A. from Tufts University and an M.S. from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Selina’s extensive experience in strategy and financial management, as well as devotion to community development and engagement have been critical to BCNC’s success.
Betty Szeto
Honoree
Betty Szeto has been a dedicated volunteer and member of the BCNC Board of Directors for 30 years. She began as a volunteer for BCNC with her Blue Cross Blue Shield colleagues and eventually joined the BCNC Board. Betty played a pivotal role in the organization’s first capital campaign, which led to the construction of its current Boston location on 38 Ash Street. As a former healthcare professional, Betty spent time working with underserved communities through the U.S. Public Health Service in urban Native Americans reservations and at the Veterans Affairs Hospital. Her deep passion for helping others continues to shine through her contributions to BCNC.
Tiffany Chan
Host
Tiffany Chan is the weekend morning anchor for WBZ-TV. During the week, you can find her reporting in the 5-6:30pm newscasts and out at community events. Chan is a proud partner of Team Impact, a non-profit that pairs children with chronic illnesses with college athletic teams. She highlights the organization monthly on WBZ. As a Suffolk University alum, she is passionate about mentoring the next generation of journalists - frequently speaking at university panels and attending on-campus events. Chan is also a member of the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) and strives to be a voice for communities of color.
