the SOUND gathers voice recordings from immigrant students of the Boston International Newcomers Academy (BINcA) and connects them throughout the city of Boston in a 3-movement interdisciplinary installation of sound, sculpture, and movement. The Pao Arts Center is proud to host part of Movement II: the SOUND [from roots grew branches].
This collection of 5 sculpture + sound installations is located in 5 different Boston neighborhoods including Chinatown, Egleston Square, Jamaica Plain, Uphams Corner, and West Roxbury. Concept. + Sound Art by Beau Kenyon and sculpture by Natalia Zubko.
Directions: The Pao Arts Center is located in the One Greenway building, 99 Kneeland Street. For GPS driving directions, use 66 Hudson Street, Boston, MA 02111. From Hudson Street, walk up the stairs and across the deck to the 99 Albany Street entrance. The public parking garage entrance is on Hudson Street. The Pao Arts Center is accessible by the MBTA green, red, and orange lines.
