The ESOL for Customer Service job training program is a free training for intermediate English language learners seeking full-time entry-level employment in the customer service industry. This program is held in partnership with the City of Boston Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development, MassHire Metro North Workforce Board and is a SNAP Path to Work program.

  • Customer service skills

  • Computer and phone skills

  • English for work

  • Job search and interview practice

  • One-on-one help every week with finding and keeping a job!

  • Eligible students may receive a up to 3 monthly T-passes and/or a small stipend

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9:30am-12:30pm

  • Plus 3 hours homework per week

  • 15 hours of class total every week

Requirements:

  • Live in Greater Boston area, including Boston, Quincy, Arlington, Belmont, Braintree, Burlington, Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Melrose, North Reading, Revere, Somerville, Stoneham, Wakefield, Watertown, Wilmington, Winchester, Winthrop, Woburn

  • Low-income

  • Available to work 30 or more hours per week

  • Intermediate English level

  • Have a computer and reliable internet service
