200 Ran and Walked to Show Love for Chinatown

BCNC Bamboo Circle hosted its first virtual 5K/1 Mile Walk/Run from September 12th to 13th as part of the #WeLoveBostonChinatown resiliency campaign, a partnership with community organizations, businesses, and residents that is working together to uplift the community and support local businesses. 200 participants from across the US—and even internationally—walked or ran in support of Boston’s Chinatown.

Thanks to support from local community organizations, professional groups, and individual supporters, we had 13 teams including: Anti Social Social Run Club, Bamboo Circle, Boston Chinese Freemasons, Boston Hurricanes, Boston University Asian Dental Student Organization, China Garden, MassMutual, Nüwa Athletic Club, Ryan’s sub 2 hour 5k attempt, Takeda BAL-ers, Taiwanese American Professionals -TAP-Boston, and Walk All Places.

The race raised over $10,000 for services to those most in need during the ongoing pandemic.

Congratulations and thank you to everyone who participated and donated! We’re overwhelmed by the incredible response of love and support to Boston Chinatown.
